In this report, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International document how all parties involved in the conflict around Eastern Ukraine are responsible for torturing, arbitrary detentions and forced disappearances of civilians.

Investigating 18 cases from 2015 and the first half of 2016, the report suggests that both sides systematically established inofficial prisons in which people are held without charges, often for months and under torture, in order to have something at hand in case of hostage or prisoner exchanges.
