Anti-Discrimination Centre Memorial released a report about the current situation for LGBTI-People in Crimea and parts of Eastern Ukraine that are currently not under control of Ukrainian authorities. Talking to witnesses they found that during the last two years (2014-2016) the situation continually worsened. Not only due to Russian legislation regarding rights and status of lesbian, gay, bi, inter or trans people gaining more influence in territories out of Ukrainian state control, homophobia is on the rise and the security of LGBTI-people is at stake more so than ever before.
